Syrup Preparation
- In a small saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Place the saucepan on medium heat and bring to a low boil, stirring occasionally.
- Simmer for 5 to 6 minutes or until the mixture begins to thicken slightly.
- Remove from heat and whisk in butter, cinnamon, and vanilla bean paste.
- Pour the syrup into a container and allow it to cool.
Cold Foam Preparation
- In a small jam jar with a lid, combine heavy cream, milk, and French toast syrup.
- Seal the jar and shake vigorously for 1 to 2 minutes until thick but still soft and creamy.
- Set aside in the fridge to keep it cold.
Assemble the Iced Latte
- Fill a 12-ounce glass halfway with ice.
- Add French toast syrup followed by milk.
- Pour cooled espresso over the milk, allowing the rich colors to mix gently.
- Top with a generous dollop of your homemade cold foam.
Notes
For a sweeter latte, adjust the sugar or maple syrup to taste. Experiment with different milk options for preferred flavor and consistency. Add nutmeg or additional cinnamon on top for a spicier note.
