Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb gnocchi (shelf-stable, refrigerator, or frozen - regular, cauliflower, or sweet potato)
  • 1-2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil To lightly grease the basket and add richness.
  • ½ tsp garlic powder Adds aromatic flavor.
  • ½ tsp salt Enhances overall flavor.
  • ½ tsp black pepper To elevate flavor.
  • 2-3 tbsp freshly grated parmesan For a creamy, nutty finishing touch.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F and lightly grease the basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the gnocchi with the extra-virgin olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. If using frozen gnocchi, make sure not to thaw it before cooking.
Cooking
  1. Add the seasoned gnocchi to the preheated basket, ensuring they do not overlap for maximum crispiness.
  2. For shelf-stable or refrigerated gnocchi, air fry at 390°F for 11-14 minutes, shaking the basket every 4 to 5 minutes until golden on all sides.
  3. For frozen gnocchi, air fry at 390°F for 13-16 minutes, also shaking the basket every 4 to 5 minutes. They are done when the outside is golden and crispy.
  4. Enjoy immediately! Garnish with extra parmesan cheese and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding Italian herbs like oregano or basil. You can also try different types of cheese such as Pecorino Romano or Asiago for a unique twist.
