Method

Make the Cilantro-Mint Sauce
  1. In the work bowl of a blender or food processor, combine the Greek yogurt, green onion, mint leaves, cilantro, jalapeno, and minced garlic.
  2. Blend until all the ingredients are well combined and chopped to your desired consistency.
  3. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.
Make the Burgers
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the lean ground sirloin, ground lamb, minced garlic, crumbled feta cheese, olive oil, cumin, dried mint, ground coriander, salt, and pepper.
  2. Using your hands, mix everything together until just combined. Divide the mixture into six equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Set your grill to medium-high.
  4. Once the grill is heated, place the patties on it. Cover and cook for about four minutes on each side or until reaching your desired level of doneness.
  5. After removing the patties, place the bun halves on the grill to toast lightly.
To Serve
  1. Start with a burger patty on each bun, slather generously with the cilantro-mint sauce, and top with a slice of juicy tomato, a ring of red onion, and fresh lettuce or spinach.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy your gourmet burgers fresh from the grill!

Notes

To ensure juicy patties, avoid over-mixing the ground meat mixture. You can customize the level of spiciness by adjusting the amount of minced jalapeno in the sauce. If you don't have feta cheese, crumbled goat cheese works as a great alternative. For added flavor, consider marinating the patties for a few hours before grilling.
