Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil for a fruity and rich base
  • 1 pound ground turkey adds a juicy and savory touch
  • 2 cups chicken stock infuses the pasta with deep flavor
  • 2 cups water to help cook the pasta
  • 2 cups dry macaroni shells to scoop up the sauce
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli, chopped for a crisp and nutritious addition
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder providing an aromatic kick
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder enhances flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard powder for subtle tang
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper for hint of spice
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream ensures a creamy texture
  • 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese melts beautifully

Method

Preparation
  1. Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven or a similarly-sized pot over medium heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the ground turkey and cook for about 5 minutes until no pink remains.
  3. Drain any excess oil from the pot, then pour in the chicken stock and water. Bring to a boil.
  4. When boiling, stir in the dry macaroni shells, chopped broccoli, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, and ground black pepper.
  5. Cook for around 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  6. Turn off the heat and stir in the heavy cream and cheddar cheese until melted.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

For added texture, consider tossing in crushed red pepper flakes. Fresh basil or parsley can brighten the dish. Stirring while the pasta cooks prevents sticking.
